We've been seeing a lot of movement of inventory in the region, but even with the market perking up, sellers still need to be realistic with the asking price of their home.
Remember - when you are selling, you must think of your home as a commodity. It may be difficult but you will do well to "un-emotionalize" (is that a word?) yourself from your home.

RED ALERT: Stay Away From This Neighborhood
Unless you like awesome neighborhoods, that is. It's called Three Tree Point in the city of Burien, and it used to be THE place for Seattleites to spend their summers.
They would commute to Seattle on the ferry during the day and party at the dance halls at night, surrounded by one of he best mountain/sound views in the region. Although the docks and the dance halls are gone, the view is still there.
Just about 2 miles away is the main shopping district of Burien where you can find antiques, cafes, brewpubs and theater.
Oh and look - I just happen to have a listing in Three Tree Point!
What's YOUR favorite neighborhood?
You could qualify for forbearance, loan reinstatement or loan modification - so again, do not be afraid to be proactive if this is an issue for you.
Even the super-rich have their money management problems - see what happened to winemaker/socialite Patricia Kluge.
